Q Bar is a trendy lounge and bar at the Valletta waterfront featuring some great interior design elements and lighting. Building a site to match was a challenge though made easier thanks to some great photos supplied by the client. The site still needs to have a wordpress installation for CMS, pending some hosting issues. 

The site itself was easy to build - still used tables for the overall design due to not having enough development time. The flash menu is pretty intricate as I  took advantage of the new flash layer blending options for the highlight. It’s pretty neat and quite simple at it’s core however. Would like to add cookies for the music options.

Juliana is a talented artist and upcoming graphic designer - she asked me to build a website. The design idea of the ripped wallpaper was hers. I’m quite proud of my menu and implementation.

A new version of the urbanjunglestore.com for the Italian market is online. It will also form the basis of the international site whilst the Maltese site will be replaced soon. Urban Jungle is a sports and fashion-wear franchise and the focus on one or the other depends on the particular market. For example locally they focus on sportswear whilst in Italy the focus is on the casual street-wear sector. The new store had to focus on that and together with the help of the account executive we came up with a new style for the international site. It’s an almost full flash site but it’s peculiar in its construction as i separated the individual pages and sections into their own html pages rather than call up movies in layers. I did this mainly for organizational purposes and hopefully for site mapping and google indexing (we’ll see!).

The Coca-Cola Malta Music Awards 2007 are upon us and we launched a new website this week for the company organising the event - MMM – Mega Music Management. The website, megamusic.com.mt was inspired by a template the client had liked. Lots of work had to go into pleasing the sponsors of which there are one or two.

This one has been waiting in the stable to roll out. All flash and extensive use of png’s for the images might mean some lengthy image loading but the transparent backdrops made it worthwhile. I spent quite a while trying to use the swap depths features of actionscript. For some reason the method i was employing worked AOK when published for player 7 but not 9. I went back to the drawing board and used my catch all snippet for easing alpha via actionscript.

Whilst my 20 other projects are on hold a new site was snuck up upon me. Was a quick job and finished before the deadline thanks to my new underling who is proving quite helpful. Anyways the new site is an online catalogue for Audio – a local A/V equipment distributor and retailer.For once this site felt like a collaborative effort and there was some good teamwork between the phb, the underling and your local friendly neighbourhood flying amphibian.The site is powered by joomla and virtuemart. 

Finally a new website online: savoygardens.com . Been in a rut with lots of sites in the pipeline. This one was ready months ago except for final changes.
